State-to-State Shipping Directory

The index into our state-pair route pages. Seasonal north-south lanes, transcontinental corridors, Sun Belt routes, and how to find a pair not listed.
Car Motorcycle

This is the index into our route pages. We publish a dedicated guide for a large number of specific state pairs, each covering that lane’s timing, distance, and pricing rather than a national average.

If you know your origin and destination, the page for that pair is the most useful thing on this site for your move. It will tell you what that specific corridor typically costs and how long it typically takes, which a general guide cannot.

Below are the highest-demand corridors we publish. For a pair not listed here, the quote calculator prices any route, and a coordinator can point you at the nearest comparable corridor page.

Seasonal North-South Corridors

The busiest lanes in the country, running heavily southbound in autumn and northbound in spring.

Timing matters more on these lanes than on any other. See popular snowbird routes for when to book.

Transcontinental Corridors

Coast-to-coast moves, where transit rather than waiting dominates the timeline.

These are long-haul lanes with deep carrier capacity but genuinely long transit, commonly a week or more. See cross-country routes for what to expect.

Sun Belt and Western Corridors

Sustained relocation traffic rather than seasonal swings.

These corridors carry steady traffic in both directions, which generally means good availability and stable pricing year-round.

Finding a Pair Not Listed Here

The corridors above are the highest-demand lanes, not the full set. We publish route pages well beyond this list.

Search the site for your pair. Route pages follow a consistent URL pattern, origin to destination, so the page for your lane is usually easy to find directly.

Use the quote calculator. It prices any origin and destination, whether or not a dedicated page exists for that pair.

Ask a coordinator. For unusual pairs, rural endpoints, or moves involving Alaska or Hawaii, a coordinator can give you timing and pricing directly.

Check the nearest comparable corridor. If your exact pair has no page, a similar lane in the same region gives a reasonable expectation for timing and cost.

Choosing Between Directions

Each direction has its own page because the two genuinely differ.

Seasonal demand is asymmetrical. Northeast to Florida in October and Florida to Northeast in October are very different propositions, and price accordingly.

Backhaul availability differs. A lane running heavily one way leaves carriers looking for return loads, which softens pricing in the quieter direction.

Access can differ at each end. A dense urban origin and a suburban destination present different constraints than the reverse.

If your move is flexible on timing, comparing the two directions of a seasonal corridor at different months is worth doing. The same physical journey can price quite differently depending on when and which way it runs.

Why Ship With Tempus Logix

Tempus Logix is a licensed and bonded auto transport broker, USDOT #3117533 and MC #86120, and BBB accredited. Every carrier we assign is vetted and its insurance verified before a vehicle is collected, and vehicle owners carry a zero deductible on covered damage.

Route matters more than most people expect. Carrier density along a corridor drives both how quickly a vehicle is collected and what the move costs, which is why the same distance can price very differently depending on where it runs.
